My name is Jonathan, but you can call me Jon! I am the director of JC Animations, a solo freelance company contributing to the animation industry.

 

At the age of 21, I founded JC Animations and relocated to Helsinki/Finland, for six months to work as a Rigger for Gigglebug Entertainment.​

In 2022, I started working as a freelancer from my home office in the United Kingdom.

 

I collaborated with Adam’s Animation Academy, producing a six-episode Prop Rigging series on their YouTube channel, and have worked on CBBC, Warner Bros Animations, and Nickelodeon productions.

Experience

​

  • 5 years of experience directing JC Animations (a private limited company) and working both remotely and in-house for international studios.

  • Working alongside rigging: leads/supervisors, technical directors, and coordinators to solve complex problems.

  • Proficient in understanding the animation pipeline, working with eye, mouth, and hand templates, and rigging: props, vehicles, and characters.

  • Creating master controllers, reusing assets, and working with inverse kinematic outputs and constraints.​​​
